Event Report

Kyushu University Asia Week 2024~Sharing Cultures – Enhancing Peace and Friendship~ was held.


Kyushu University has been holding Asia Week since 2020 with the aim of communicating Kyushu University's achievements in research and education related to Asia and the potential for new developments at domestic and international audiences, strengthening ties with overseas universities, and promoting the establishment of new international exchange and collaboration systems, mainly through the Asia Oceania Research and Education Organization.

This year's Asia Week was held under the theme of “Sharing Cultures - Enhancing Peace and Friendship” from November 5 (Tuesday) to 9 (Saturday), 2024.
Starting with the opening event “KYUDAI NOW Forum: Reviews and Ideas for the next step” on the first day, 29 programs related to Asian countries were held, including the Asia Oceania Prize poster presentation, a forum for young researchers to present their research on Asia and Oceania, and projects by full-time faculty and clusters/modules. A total of more than 1,000 people attended the Asia Week 2024.
